Growing up in a family running a petroleum business, Fam has seen her parents work really hard, putting all their efforts into the business, and paying attention to every detail to minimize possible problems and to ensure all customers are satisfied with what they get. Her dream is to follow in her parent’s footstep because they are her biggest inspiration in all aspects of her life especially from a business perspective. After she graduated, she decided to work for her family business. This allowed her to understand how businesses actually operate and gain hands-on experience ranging from marketing, strategy, and business development, to serving customers satisfaction. She enjoyed the problem-solving and creative thinking that went into dealing with daily challenges. However, after the ups and downs and challenges she has faced as well as the experience she has gained, she has come to the conclusion that she is ready to get a more comprehensive business education. She believes that taking MBA studies will profoundly broaden her knowledge, skills, and understanding in the field of business and help her to adapt and apply that knowledge to real life business situations. Further study in an MBA program would not only be useful, but also essential in developing her with greater opportunities for her future success.
The reason she chose to get IMBA at NTHU is that it is famous for its high teaching standards as NTHU is one of the top-ranking universities in Taiwan with an impeccable reputation and experienced professors. The curriculum is exactly what she is looking for. The description of IMBA program and the course requirements, she believes, perfectly matches her research interests and profile. More importantly, NTHU’s curriculum is different from other MBA schools. It offers a powerful combination of both technology and business management, creating an intellectual advantage. She believes that high knowledgeable lecturers and the advanced tools at NTHU would facilitate her learning process and sharpen her knowledge of managing her family business.
Becoming a member of the IMBA program is a great challenge, by overcoming which she will become a better person and a greater professional. NTHU IMBA has added a lot of value to her academic life, helping her to gain first-hand knowledge and to meet people from all over the world with diverse cultures. Her post-IMBA goal is to return to her family business, a petroleum retailer & distributor in Thailand, and further develop and expand her company to a larger scale by penetrating strategic markets in Southeast-Asia. She wants to be the one that directs the course, creates a vision, and executes it.
