Today is the youngest you'll ever be.

Michael Brandon Tjahyadi (陳京), in short Brandon, is a highly determined and adaptable individual from Indonesia with a passion for business and global opportunities. He excelled academically, earning a full scholarship and graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors in International Business Management at Ciputra University. Beyond academics, he actively participated in business case competitions, tackling real-world business challenges and honing his problem-solving skills. His one-year exchange program at Inha University, South Korea, further enriched his global perspective, preparing him for the next step in his journey—the International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) program at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU).

Building a Global Career

Brandon has gained valuable international work experience, having worked remotely in two industries. As an Online Marketing Assistant at an Employment Service Company in South Korea, he helped connect educators with teaching opportunities. He also worked in Project Management at a Renewable Energy Company in the United States, where he developed skills in planning and execution in the sustainability sector. These roles fueled his desire to dive deeper into business specializations.

Why IMBA at NTHU?

With a background in International Business Management, Brandon wanted to gain a more in-depth understanding of specific business areas. The IMBA program at NTHU stood out because it allowed him to specialize, rather than just study business broadly.

Additionally, NTHU’s strong reputation and diverse student body made it an ideal place for academic and career development. He saw the program as a chance not only to learn but also to network and explore career opportunities, both in Taiwan and internationally. Learning from experienced professors and talented classmates reaffirmed that he had made the right choice.

Living the IMBA Spirit

For Brandon, being an IMBAer means embracing the philosophy of "Work Hard, Play Hard." The demanding coursework, combined with cultural interactions and social activities, makes for a well-rounded experience. He enjoys the challenges and growth that come with this dynamic environment.

A Special IMBA Memory: He Huan Mountain

After completing his first semester, Brandon joined a trip to He Huan Mountain, a rare winter destination in Taiwan. It was a well-earned break, marking the end of a challenging semester and celebrating the hard work of his classmates. The snowfall—an uncommon sight in Taiwan—made the trip even more special, reminding him that effort and perseverance often lead to rewarding experiences.

Looking Forward

Having just completed his first semester, Brandon is excited about what lies ahead. With his IMBA degree and specialization certificates, he hopes to secure internships and job opportunities in Taiwan and beyond, expanding his global experience and career prospects.

For Brandon, NTHU is not just a university; it’s a place of transformation. With knowledge, a strong network, and a growth mindset, he is ready to embrace future opportunities and make an impact in the business world.
